Filmmaker and practicing Zen Buddhist Adam Kō ShinTebbe is working on a documentary series that examines the history and role Zen Buddhism has had in America. The documentary will traverse throughout America, going to different centers and talking with many teachers, practitioners and scholars in bringing a comprehensive view on Zen Buddhism in America.
Discovery Channel documentary about 15 year old boy who began meditating 10 months prior and planned on meditating for 6 years. During the time film crews were there the boy didn’t eat or drink anything.
Filmaker Jennifer Fox has followed Tibetan Buddhist master Namkhai and his Italian born son Yeshi for twenty years. This documentary follows Yeshi’s reluctance to follow and believe in his fathers teachings and delve into the personal lives of both. After twenty years, father and son come together and find commonality in creating something more.
In a world saturated with an abundance of musicians trying to make their mark in the music scene, whether it be in Rock, Metal, Country, Pop, Hip-Hop or whatever, few artists rise above with a positive message that brings peace and enlightenment as well as a realistic view of whats going on in the world around us, and even far less musicians bring about that message from a Buddhist viewpoint.

The day of Judgement has passed. All that believed are either questioning why it didn’t happened or are accepting it and moving forward. Some will believe that it is a testament of their faith in a higher power while other will feel cheated by something that they pray for and want. For the unbelievers, the majority shrugged it off as a mad-mans crazed prediction that came to pass with no hint of calamity, just as he did years prior. Others made them think and brought them closer to thinking deeper then they have though in a long time. Others, brushed it off as nothing, and went along with life as yet another day on planet earth. And I bet there were others, those that may be hearing about the end of the world scenario for the first time, questioning the hype, the fears, the silliness as well as the seriousness of it all.
